This is the research platform for all the students, past or present of the Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering Department, BUET. Nonetheless, interested people from other departments are also welcome to join this group. The primary goal of this group is to foster research activities among the students, especially undergraduate students. In BUET , we have plenty of opportunities of doing world class research, since we have got a strong faculty and plenty of spare time when the classes do not run. Since 2000, undergraduate students have also published their research in renowned journals and achieved prizes international contests such as International Future Energy Challenge 2003, 2005, 2009, IEEE Myron Zucker Award 2001, IEEE R10 Student Paper Contest 2006, IEEE History Paper Contest 2004. Turning reseach into a culture is the moto of group.
The BUET Team for International Future Energy Challenge Team 2007 has won the 'Outstanding Educational Impact Award' worth 2500$. Check the link: http://www.energychallenge.org/.
IEEE BUET Student Branch won IEEE Enterprise Award 2007 [Update on Jan 20, 2007] and got a funding of $1500 for the project titled 'Sustainable Technology Solutions for Providing
ICT Based Services to Rural People'. Congratualtions to them also.
